Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller is an integral part of the Ampion team that will oversee financial activities as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Core Responsibilities :
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly invoicing per client contracts, ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare monthly channel partner accruals through collaboration with the channels team
  • Prepare monthly close processes and financial close package
  • Maintain a system of accounting records and conduct internal audits to assess financial status
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Assist with the annual external audit
  • Assist with all treasury management including client funds
Essential Attributes:
  • 5+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably a mix of public and private
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP with an emphasis on revenue recognition
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively externally and across departments
  • Willingness to contribute and lead projects outside the core responsibilities above, embrace the startup mentality
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Previous experience with ERP implementations, especially NetSuite, a plus
Other Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Ampion Written Information Security Policy (WISP), Ampion Employee Guidelines and all other Ampion Information Security Policies and Procedures
  • Take responsibility for any Ampion assets assigned to you
  • Promptly report any security events, incidents or weaknesses to Ampion Security as outlined in the WISP
