The Assistant Controller is an integral part of the Ampion team that will oversee financial activities as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

* Prepare timely and accurate monthly invoicing per client contracts, ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
* Prepare monthly channel partner accruals through collaboration with the channels team
* Prepare monthly close processes and financial close package
* Maintain a system of accounting records and conduct internal audits to assess financial status
* Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
* Assist with the annual external audit
* Assist with all treasury management including client funds



###### Essential Attributes:
* 5+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably a mix of public and private
* Experience with Quickbooks
* Fundamental knowledge of GAAP with an emphasis on revenue recognition
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively externally and across departments
* Willingness to contribute and lead projects outside the core responsibilities above, embrace the startup mentality
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Deadline and detail-oriented
* Previous experience with ERP implementations, especially NetSuite, a plus

The role of Customer Care Representative is to engage directly with subscribers that are assigned to community solar farms across the entire portfolio of clients that Ampion manages. This person will deliver white glove customer service, and help resolve any questions that may arise during the subscriber lifecycle to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This individual will also interact within the entire organization including Member Engagement, Account Management, Product/Engineering, and Leadership on any company-wide goals, missions or initiatives that arise. The Customer Care Representative will report to the Manager of Customer Care.

**Core Responsibilities**
* Operate with an orientation for business outcomes, using data and process management to drive continuous improvement with OKRs as guiding principles for organizational success
* Answer inbound traffic including phone calls and emails
* Perform outbound welcome calls to newly acquired subscribers
* Help troubleshoot and resolve any inquires within SLA framework
* Design and contribute to proactive email campaigns including subscription status, site updates, and newsletters

The position of Enterprise Sales Executive will have a significant and immediate impact in helping large national accounts and institutions achieve their sustainability and energy savings objectives by bringing the benefits of community solar, VPPAs and Virtual Net Metering Credits to your assigned national accounts. Key corporate and national customer segments for Ampion include national chains, retail, Fortune 100 brands, and higher education, among others.

**JCore Responsibilities:**
* Achieve sales goals determined by Ampion management team
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales plan for each assigned customer segment to
identify prospective national accounts, build relationships with sustainability leaders and other key relationships within those institutions, and convince eligible accounts to choose Ampion
* Drive revenue growth by originating leads, closing deals, supporting existing clients, formulating sales strategies, and communicating Ampion’s product value to clients
* Assess needs, present solutions, and negotiate contracts to C-suite prospects and ESG & Sustainability Corporate Champions; that include the full product and service offering of Ampion; including community solar, Ampion+, and AMpion ESG to qualifying commercial
meters, and to “anchor” and qualifying large commercial meters.
* Foster extensive relationships with existing and new customers within assigned segment
including C-Level Executives, sustainability champions, ESG officers, decision makers, and key influencers
* Establish clear KPIs and metrics to ensure success. You are capable of accurately forecasting on weekly, monthly and quarterly intervals and can manage your business to the achievement of sales targets.

 
**Education, Skill & Experience:**
* Industry experience required; energy procurement and retail energy supply preferred;
community solar, various services industries selling to corporations, education, the RE 100 group brands, etc., selling into sustainability and ESG programs and leaders.
* Deep understanding of the sustainability, ESG, and renewable energy solutions sought by Corporate energy buyers, ESG & Sustainability Officers and other C-Suite officers
* Can identify and articulate customer value proposition and links solutions to the customer strategy
* Minimum of 2-4 years of business-to-business experience managing and selling to complex, large-sized companies with a proven, documented track record
* Comfortable with pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup; eager to lend a hand
cross-functionally as required

This is a Bangor-based, outdoor sales role, with the goal of helping local residents save money using clean energy available on our grid. You’ll be able to take charge of your own schedule, perform door-to-door presentations, and meet some pets as you go!

Ampion was founded in Bar Harbor and continues to nurture its roots in local communities throughout Maine. We’re a national leader in Community Solar and are proud to manage over 8,000 subscribers across a portfolio of over 30 solar projects in Maine alone. 

As an Enrollment Specialist, you’ll have an uncapped commission structure designed to reward your success, as well as the direct support of Ampion software on a daily basis. The Sales Executive is expected to be an outstanding communicator who can excite, educate and close medium and small businesses on a subscription agreement to their local community solar farm. This fast-paced, high-volume role is designed to spur your curiosity, leverage your creativity, and test your ambition and grit. The Sales Executive position also requires someone who is equally process-oriented as they are passionate about community solar and distributed energy.

As part of the Direct Sales Team, you’ll conduct outreach campaigns into key markets and verticals, and run the full sales cycle to contract businesses into community solar programs. Success in this role will require an understanding of market dynamics, experience prospecting leads, generating interest, and closing new business to meet and exceed sales quotas. 

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The Sales Executive role will have you engaging with businesses and other organizations to sell Ampion’s unique community solar subscription offerings. This is a full sales cycle role with a quota responsibility. 

Key responsibilities include: 
* Achieve sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis 
* Maintain a high volume of outreach activities on a daily and weekly basis primarily through phone calls and email
* Generate leads from multiple sources and contact small-medium commercial utility customers via cold calls and emails 
* Guide prospects from qualification through close of sale by educating all decision-makers on the Community Solar program and subscriber agreement throughsales meetings, phone calls and emails
* Develop and leverage your book of business and network to grow your referral sales
* Collect subscriber data to validate community solar subscriber eligibility 
* Record all sales activities daily in CRM 


**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player 
* Experience and proven success in a sales role or in a services industry 
* Ability to build trust and rapport with prospective subscribers, providing clients with top-notch subscriber service 
* Experience with mass marketing strategies, both digital and in-person 
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for audiences both familiar and unfamiliar with energy programs, and the ability to present to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities 
* Proficiency and ability to work with multiple IT platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google, Slack and familiarity with CRM systems including Salesforce is preferred

Ampion’s software is a critical differentiator for the company and what allows us to scale efficiently. We deal with lots of different data – from website, ad, search and social data to utility usage and billing and crediting data, to community distributed generation meter data. The Data Engineer will assist Ampion in building our team and technology to make this data into meaningful, actionable insights.

This Data Engineer is a senior position whose responsibilities include line-managing our Data Scientists and Data Wranglers. This is a great opportunity for a senior Data Engineer to move into a management and leadership role and directly contribute to the differentiation of the Ampion product.

We use agile development practices with multi-disciplinary teams that are typically focussed on delighting certain user persona’s. The Data Science team will work with each of the “experience” teams to build comprehensive data-based views of each persona and their journeys (key business processes), by being a consumer of data from these teams, and other sources, and being a provider of insights and data to these teams and their platforms. Our expectation is that the data structures and insights produced by the Data Science team will be embedded into our core product offering and used as one of our major differentiators.

In addition, the Data Science team will also deliver insights to Ampion internal teams and most importantly provide a platform and tools on which functional owners can derive some of their own insights.

The Data Engineer will lead the Data Science team as a coach-player, providing direction, leadership, management and roadblock-busting service so that the team can run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

The Data Engineer will work with the senior technical team and architecture council to determine best short-term and long-term solutions to pressing Product data needs. The Data Engineer will provide feedback to the Product team on general approach and dependencies for roadmap and company plans.

**Core Responsibilities**
* Identify, design, architect, and implement scalable data engineering platforms with self-service solutions
* Act as a subject matter expert to leadership for technical guidance around solution design and best practices
* Experience building and shipping highly scalable and distributed systems on cloud platforms such as GCP(preferred) or AWS.
* Mentor junior engineers and expose the team to new opportunities.
* Keep current with modern data engineering ecosystem technologies.

**What you bring to the team**
* 7+ years experience in DBMS, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MS-SQL
* Experience in data warehousing technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, ETL/ELT tools, and Information Management design.
* 2+ years experience with data engineering tools such as pyspark, google airflow. Google dataproc, google cloud storage experience a plus.
* Proficient with programming languages such as Python, Golang
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
