Sales Executive - Housing

Ampion is on a mission to make clean energy accessible to all. We're seeking an experienced sales professional to lead our outreach in the housing sector—building relationships that bring savings and sustainability to housing providers and their tenants.

Ampion is a national leader in Community Solar, enabling residents, businesses, and organizations to support clean energy and save on electricity, without installation, upfront cost, or commitment. As our Housing Sales Executive, you’ll play a key role in growing this critical customer segment, helping providers and their communities access the benefits of Community Solar. You’ll leverage your industry knowledge and relationships to connect with housing authorities, affordable housing providers, and property managers. This role reports to the Director of Direct Sales and will help shape our multi-family housing strategy across all current and future markets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive subscription growth by enrolling housing providers directly and running co-branded campaigns to enroll tenants who pay their own utility bills.

  • Build and maintain relationships with housing authorities, affordable housing providers, and property management companies.

  • Own the full sales process—from networking and prospecting to agreement execution and ongoing account support.

  • Collaborate with partners to design and execute outreach campaigns that educate and enroll eligible residents.

  • Inform and evolve Ampion’s strategy for engaging the multi-family housing market across all active and future territories.

  • Represent Ampion at industry events and housing-related forums to build brand awareness and generate leads.

  • Track and manage sales activity, relationship progress, and campaign performance using our CRM (Salesforce).

  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals and team KPIs.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced relationship-builder with deep knowledge of the affordable/multi-family housing landscape.
  • Brings an existing network or book of business within the housing provider, property management, or affordable housing ecosystem
  • Proven track record of closing partnerships with housing providers, property management groups, or similar organizations.
  • Strategic and self-motivated, with a hands-on approach to market development.
  • Clear and confident communicator who builds trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptionally organized and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Passionate about clean energy, equity, and expanding access to impactful solutions.
  • Tech-savvy; proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in affordable housing, residential real estate, or related fields
  • Experience with community solar, renewable energy, or sustainability initiatives is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with low-to-moderate income (LMI) programs, HUD, and subscriber acquisition strategies is highly desirable.

  • Comply with Ampion Written Information Security Policy (WISP), Ampion Employee Guidelines and all other Ampion Information Security Policies and Procedures
  • Take responsibility for any Ampion assets assigned to you
  • Promptly report any security events, incidents or weaknesses to Ampion Security as outlined in the WISP
