Field Sales Enrollment Specialist

Renewable Energy Everywhere, For Everyone

Location/Territory: Bangor/Downeast Maine

At Ampion, a leader in Maine’s renewable energy, we're looking for local individuals to join our Field Team. This is a Bangor-based, outdoor sales role, with the goal of helping local residents save money using clean energy available on our grid. You’ll be able to take charge of your own schedule, perform door-to-door presentations, and meet some pets as you go!

Ampion was founded in Bar Harbor and continues to nurture its roots in local communities throughout Maine. We’re a national leader in Community Solar and are proud to manage over 8,000 subscribers across a portfolio of over 30 solar projects in Maine alone.

As an Enrollment Specialist, you’ll have an uncapped commission structure designed to reward your success, as well as the direct support of Ampion software on a daily basis. What We Offer:

  • High earning potential: There is no cap on commissions or earnings, and there are extra incentives for high producers. Base Pay: $400 Stipend per week PLUS commission. Average enrollment = $375. On Target Earnings: $110K.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive enrollments by performing door-to-door outreach, attending local events, and engaging with customers at tabling opportunities.
  • Present and educate prospective customers on community solar.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in our CRM software.
  • Collaborate with your team and share insights to continuously improve.
  • Build relationships within local communities to generate referrals and partnerships.
Qualifications:
  • A go-getting, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with a passion for building connections.
  • Willingness to work outside, evenings between 4-8 pm, and Saturdays
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation
  • Willingness to undergo a background check, we don’t hire just anyone!
  • Comfort using smartphones/computers, and assisting others with theirs.
  • Previous experience in field sales, canvassing, or a similar role is a plus, but not required—if you’re excited to learn, we’re excited to train you!
