Ampion, a Boston-based solar energy company, today announced support for the American Heart Association and their core work fighting heart disease and stroke while funding innovative research to better understand COVID-19 and its interaction with cardiovascular disease through their Life Is Why We Give™ campaign. Life Is Why We Give inspires consumers to honor their reasons to live healthier, longer lives – by giving.

Between now and February 28, 2021, Ampion will donate $100 to The American Heart Association for every new qualified customer who signs up for its Community Solar program using the link, www.ampion.net/heart. Through the Life Is Why We Give campaign, Ampion and its customers have a quick and easy way to give to the Association and support its mission. Ampion joins several national companies in supporting the campaign. The American Heart Association is working with researchers, medical experts, community leaders, businesses, families and more to reduce the impact of the coronavirus. The following are some ways they’re dedicating their resources to make a difference. Donations through Life is Why We Give participating retailers – no matter the amount – allow the Association to:

• Fund research that can improve the health outcomes of heart and stroke patient- including $2.5 million to research investigating the cardiovascular implications of the coronavirus
• Provide support to hospitals, health care professionals and patients -teaching hospitals and communities how to safely administer CPR during coronavirus pandemic
• Work to ensure the greatest needs of communities are prioritized, including access to care, financial support, proper nourishment, and physical activity.
