In Maine, the discount for Community Solar is 15%. If you’re a Versant customer, Ampion will bill you at a discounted rate for every kilowatt hour (kWh) applied to your utility bill, based on the electricity generated by your portion of the Community Solar farm. In other words, you pay Ampion 15% less per kWh than what you’d pay your utility! If you’re a CMP customer, you’ll receive dollar credits for the clean energy generated by your share of the solar farm, and you’ll pay for those credits at $0.85 on the dollar. This is where the savings come in! And those savings add up, resulting in more affordable energy for you and a more sustainable community for Ellsworth, Maine.
