About the Hermon Solar Farm:

This Community Solar project was recently installed by Cianbro Corporation. Community Solar projects like these are designed to increase Maine’s renewable energy generating capabilities and reduce our reliance on out-of-state electricity. Increasing Maine’s energy independence through expansion of renewable generating sources will help combat the significant electricity supply rate increases associated with the rising costs of natural gas.

This newly-completed project is scheduled to start producing clean solar energy in the coming weeks. It has capacity available to accommodate more business and residential subscribers.
