The Town of Kent is excited to launch its very own Community Solar Campaign as part of Solarize Putnam's initiative! Together with Ampion and Sustainable Putnam, Kent presents this opportunity for residents to save money while supporting in-state solar energy.

New York State's Community Solar Program is meant to make the benefits of solar available to everyone! Not only will you save up to 10% off your electric bill, but through 1/31/2022 each new, approved participant will also receive a $100 Visa gift card*. There is no cost to enroll, no solar panels to be installed, and no obligation if you change your mind.

Sign up for free to become an Ampion member in as little as 5 minutes with your utility bill (to calculate your energy usage and savings)

Ampion matches you to a solar farm and assigns you a share of the Community Solar credits it generates based on your typical usage

The solar farm produces clean energy and delivers it to the grid, increasing the renewable energy available to your community and boosting sustainability

Community Solar credits are applied to your bill each month based on your share of the solar energy produced, reducing what you pay your utility
