How Billing Works

• Maine has created a dual billing program, so you'll receive two bills each month: one from your utility, and one from Ampion.
• Versant customers receive a kilowatt hour (kWh) reduction and CMP customers receive a credit on the monthly utility bill, based on their share of the energy produced by the solar farm.
• In many cases, your subscription will eliminate any payments owed to the utility.
• You then receive an Ampion invoice one month later, and pay for those kWh reductions or credits at a 15% discount. This is where the savings come in!
• Convenient automatic payments for your Ampion bill via your checking account or credit card.

*The amount of energy and subsequent savings will vary monthly due to a number of factors. Your savings will be up to 15% on an annual basis. Example: If you normally use 1,000 kWh of power each month at $0.15 per kWh = $150 per month. In this case, you're guaranteed a maximum savings of $22.50 per month (15%) from Ampion.
